Our Boots N Boogie Journey: More Than Just a Dance Class
When we first sat down to plan our quarterly socials, we had one goal: to create a space where our dancers could truly "dance the night away" and show off everything they’ve worked so hard to master in class. We wanted more than just a recital—we wanted a real social party vibe, and seeing it come to life has been a dream come true for both of us.
The Magic of Our First Socials
The atmosphere at our inaugural event in November 2025 was, quite simply, electric. We walked into the room, saw the themed decor we’d spent so much time on, and immediately felt the energy. It was a sell-out night, and the buzz was so infectious that as soon as we announced the second date, the tickets flew off the virtual shelves just as fast!
What makes these nights special for us:
The Growth: Seeing our 50-strong mix of beginners and improvers challenge themselves is so rewarding. Watching a beginner pick up a rhythm from a more experienced peer is exactly the kind of knowledge exchange we hoped for.
The Confidence: We know how daunting it is to perform. Seeing that "lightbulb moment" where anxiety turns into a smile is the best part of our job.
The Connections: We started Boots N Boogie to build a community. Seeing friendships form over shared steps and missed beats proves that this is a holistic journey, not just a workout.
Setting the Vibe
We wanted to make sure the "party" side of the social was just as strong as the "dance" side. Having Jade’s partner, Lee, singing live changed everything. His voice brought an authenticity and spontaneity that a playlist just can’t touch—he really knew how to read the room and keep the energy high.
And, of course, what’s a party without treats? We kept things casual with cheeseburgers and fries, but the real stars were our "Boot-Scootin’ Shots." Serving Tequila Rose in cowboy boot-shaped glasses became the ultimate icebreaker. We had so many laughs with dancers claiming the tequila actually helped them remember the steps and cured their "brain fog!"
A Moment of Pride
Standing side-by-side at our latest event, we both felt a massive swell of pride. Looking out at the smiles and the milestones being reached, we were struck by the resilience of our dancers. Every person on that floor has a story of progress, and being part of that transformation is an honour.
